Most of the time I run about 1 in 5 stands with seeing a yote. Most of the time when I see them I can kill them in the areas I like to call. I am on the east side. I have not got to do nearly as much yote hunting as I have wanted to this year.

I went out This weekend. Saturday 1-7. The wind was blowing to hard. The last stand I put down the ELECTRIC call and tried the hand call. The hand call travels farther up wind. My buddy and I set up around 4:30pm and started calling. 20mins later I saw a coyote on the other side about 150 yards. *censored*  :bash:He moved right as I pulled the trigger.  :bash:MISSED My buddy and I were standing and getting ready to leave. I was glassing one more time. Then Ryan said he saw a coyote run throw the same spot where the other one was. We dropped back down and started calling again. 5mins later another coyote was moving in. He stopped in the same spot as the first one   :yike:"CRAZY :yike: LOL I MISSED :bash: :bash: :bash: WHAT THE HELL  :bash: :bash: :bash: So I kept calling  5mins go by and I saw something move.  :yike: Another one coming from the left. I got him in my crosshairs. He wont stop moving. Finally he stopped to look. I was on him like flys on *censored*. I pulled the trigger and he was down for the count. FINALLY  :IBCOOL: I can't believe the other coyotes weren't scared after the first shot. I will stay and call after I shoot from now on. You never know.  Sunday was crazy. We only had time for two sets today. The first one we jumped a dog. The shot would of been free had at 150 yards. I passed of him. Then the other set I was just about to put the decoy down. Then I saw a coyote hunting towards use. He was 70yard or so. I tried to get a free hand shot. The darn wind pushes you all over. :bash: He didn't see use so we dropped and started calling. He started circled around down wind. My buddy spotted him at the last minute but no shot. We had fun though.

6x Does seem like a solid number on the westside .. my best day ever was 5 stands 5 coyotes ... but I have had quite a few 6 or more stands with 3 coyotes killed .... When I went this year I called one in just about everytime I went ....that was In Nov. which seems to be the best time to call coyotes on the wetside  :twocents: I have killed way more coyotes in Nov . than any other month I have ever hunted....you would think the colder it got the more yotes you would call in BUT thats not the case ......for me anyway !

3 years--0 coyotes.  I often get good response to my calls.  They see me before I see them!  Maybe I need new glasses?
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"
